Counseling
We often find ourselves caught in painful and unproductive patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving without understanding how we’ve gotten there or how we can move forward.
Through individual work, we will discover together the inner forces that have created and maintained these distressing patterns, including the impact of your personal and cultural history, your particular personality style, and the stories you tell yourself about who you are. We will create a vision of how you want your life to be, and safely remove obstacles so you can make rewarding, lasting changes.
I am a seasoned clinician who has trained in multiple therapeutic approaches, including Gestalt therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and transpersonal psychology to help clients work with issues of depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, life stage transitions, and family conflict. Three years as a hospice counselor prepared me to work with issues of loss, grief, chronic illness, and death.
As your guide, I will work with you to find the safest, gentlest, and most practical path to where you want to get to.
“I don’t want to get to the end of my life and find that I lived just the length of it. I want to have lived the width of it as well.”
